Senior Software Engineer
C2H 6 month contract to hire
Job Description
Responsibilities :
- Build new software initiatives in a SaaS environment
- Help design and implement new features of the system as microservices and serverless
- Communication skills are a must when working with the team to help design the correct solutions
- Collaborate with our Product Owner to understand requirements for product enhancements
- Translate business requirements to architect and design resilient solutions
- Collaborate with our QA team to resolve and prevent bugs
Skills and Experience :
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills working with the team and across the company
- Designing and programming serverless solutions inside Amazon Web Services; experience in event-driven architecture
- Coding skills in PHP, Python, and Javascript / Typescript are mandatory
- Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Development
- Working in a full-stack environment
- Experience creating and working with RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of MySQL and an Object-Relational Mapper (ORM)
- Experience with Git, Github Actions, and Travis in a CI environment
- Knowledge of infrastructure management tools, Terraform, AWS SAM, and Cloudformation
- An appreciation for the importance of testing
- Expert knowledge of software design and development across the entire SDLC Strong desire to create defect-free software that is high quality and maintainable
- Strong analytical skills to understand the business logic of the software
- Professional and hard-working, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
- Help with the setup and maintenance of Docker images for developers and deployment
- Working remotely in a pair programming environment
Education :
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering required. M.S. a plus.
