A law firm in Florham Park, NJ, is seeking a Corporate Associate Attorney - Tax to join their cross-office tax and corporate transactional teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-office tax and corporate transactional teams to provide comprehensive legal support.
- Offer expert advice on U.S. federal income tax issues in the context of corporate transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex tax-related agreements and documentation.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support strategic corporate decisions and compliance.
- Structure transactions to achieve tax efficiency and ensure adherence to federal tax regulations.
- Manage client interactions, delivering clear and effective communication regarding tax matters.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations, and advise clients on their impact.
- Participate in strategic meetings and planning sessions related to tax and corporate issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm with a focus on U.S. federal income tax matters.
- Strong academic background with a JD from an accredited law school.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex tax-related legal issues and corporate transactions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar (or eligibility to obtain admission).
- Certification or specialization in tax law is preferred but not required.
