Our client, a Commercial Real Estate investment firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of multiple commercial real estate sites.

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficient operation of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural elements.

This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple commercial properties, ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical building systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of building systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance needs, safety hazards, and code compliance issues.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance and repair activities, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventories, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Respond promptly to tenant requests and issues, providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive tenant relations.
  • Develop and implement energy management strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Collaborate with property management and leasing teams to support tenant improvements and buildouts.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in facilities management.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in commercial real estate.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple properties and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in facilities management (e.g., FMP, CFM) is a plus.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
