Heavy Equipment Operator / Crew Lead

A petroleum-focused contractor is seeking a Crew Lead to support field operations involving fueling tank and piping installations across municipal centers and gas stations in western Wisconsin. This role blends leadership, hands-on labor, and mechanical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist equipment operators, pipefitters, and demolition techs on job sites
  • Install fueling tanks and piping systems
  • Perform general labor : hauling materials, digging, pouring concrete
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free worksite
  • Operate hand and power tools
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors
  • Troubleshoot and service petroleum-related equipment

Required Qualifications :

  • Class A CDL or willingness to obtain
  • 2+ years in mechanical or electrical industries
  • 6+ months operating mechanical equipment, farm labor, or mechanic work
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Clean driving record
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with fueling station equipment or petroleum systems
  • Work Environment :

  • Family-owned company with a collaborative, team-oriented culture
  • Technicians often share interests in hunting, fishing, sports, or farm life
  • Must be comfortable working with petroleum fuels and lifting up to 75 lbs
  • Variable hours, with potential for 6070 hour workweeks and overtime
  • After direct hire, company vehicle may be taken home
  • On-call rotation begins after 1 year (every 7 weeks)

  • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00 / hr.
