Position Overview :
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), you will play a crucial role in the lives of students every single day! This position involves working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to identify and address speech and language disorders, ensuring that every student can succeed academically and socially .
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement speech and language therapy programs for students.
- Work with individuals or small groups to address communication goals.
- Provide support in the assessment and documentation of students' progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a holistic and effective support system.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid CA state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to be collaborative and work in a team-based environment.
