Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Position Near Southfield, MI
Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district near Southfield, MI.
This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with students in a K-8th grade building, providing essential support and services to enhance their communication skills and overall academic success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with Speech or Language Impairments (SLI), Other Health Impairments (OHI), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' progress and future goals.
- Offer consultative support and training to school staff regarding speech and language development.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Michigan state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience working with K-8th grade students, especially those with SLI, OHI, and ASD.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, from August 28, 2024, to June 12, 2025.
