Qualifications

  • Candidates must live in and / or near St. Louis, MO or Kansas City, MO.
  • 8+ years of experience in data center technologies, including storage, compute, and virtualization and cloud
  • 2+ years in a Pre-Sales or customer-facing engineering role preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT environments, ideally within large enterprise organizations. Experience supporting large health care provider environments preferred.
  • Strong experience with multiple of the following disciplines : virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), enterprise storage (SAN / NAS), compute infrastructure (rack, blade, converged), and hybrid cloud integration.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, product demonstration skills, customer service skills, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience required.
  • Experience with scoping Professional Services and developing Enterprise-level Statements of Work.

Compensation and Benefits

The well-being of WWT employees is essential. A reasonable base pay range for this position is $150,000.00 to $210,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. Some positions may be eligible for variable incentive compensation (bonuses or commissions) not included in the base pay. Benefits include :

    Role Focus : Global Enterprise Sales

    As a Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE), you will provide technical Pre-Sales work for Fortune 500 clients across all verticals. Our offerings include Infrastructure Modernization, Multicloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategy. The Advanced Technology Center is available for briefings, training, workshops, demos and POCs to deliver best-in-class results.

    What will you be doing?

    The CSE will bring technical Pre-Sales experience to health care customers. Responsibilities include participation in customer sales meetings, presentations, white board sessions and custom technical design work. The CSE will partner with local Client Managers, coordinate with multiple OEMs and participate in technical training to provide ongoing value. Travel up to 25% is required.

    Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical liaison with a focus on Data center & Cloud Technologies
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Technical advisor who can translate business objectives into technical and resource requirements
  • Partner with broader teams to host and moderate technology workshops across various solutions
  • Work with Professional Services to assist in developing LOE and SOWs for the client
  • Assist in developing Bill of Materials and client-facing quotes for hardware and support products
  • Architect and design solutions across multiple IT infrastructure domains, with a primary focus on data center and cloud technologies including enterprise storage, compute infrastructure, and virtualization
  • Support adjacent technologies such as cloud integration, security, and automation as needed
  • Attend business appointments on own or with Account Executives
  • Continuously expand technical expertise and stay current with emerging technologies
