We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Operations Manager to join our fast-paced manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, possessing a deep understanding of the manufacturing processes, and a proven track record in the aerospace and metals service industry.

You will be responsible for managing the overall operations, including supply chain management, production, and quality control, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities :

1. Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety standards.

2. Implement and manage AS9100, the quality management system for the aerospace industry, to ensure high-quality products and services.

3. Lead the supply chain management process, including procurement, inventory control, material handling, order fulfillment, and distribution.

4. Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies to reduce waste, increase productivity, and improve overall operational efficiency.

5. Coordinate with other departments such as sales, engineering, and HR to ensure smooth operations and achieve business objectives.

6. Monitor operational performance and implement necessary improvements to meet production goals.

7. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest manufacturing technologies and trends.

8. Train and mentor staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. An MBA will be an added advantage.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the aerospace and metals service industry.

3. Proven experience in implementing and managing AS9100 quality management system.

4. Solid knowledge of supply chain management processes and lean manufacturing principles.

5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

6. Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and productivity.

7. In-depth understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards.

8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

9. Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and other business management software.

10. Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
