About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Float Pool - Bed Management

Profession : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum 1 year Telemetry experience and 2 years Med Surg experience

License : Active RN license - ND or compact state

Certifications : Active BLS - must be AHA, ACLS

Must-Have : Strong Med Surg experience, Cardiac experience, able to start IVs, perform dressing changes, and central line care

Description :

All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.

Scrubs must be Navy Blue.

Candidates must be willing and able to float to all units listed in the job description.

High organizational skills are required to work in a very fast-paced environment.

Experience with a minimum patient ratio of 1 : 4 or 1 : 5 is preferred.

Candidates must be experienced with Medical-Surgical and Telemetry / Stepdown patients.

Floating may occur between all Medical-Surgical units and a progressive care unit.

Patients may include post-cath, chest pains, abdominal pains, and those requiring infusion therapies.

Candidates will administer medications, assess, monitor, and care for patients.

Current use includes areas for overflow patients, requiring adaptability to various clinical settings.

The charting system used is EPIC EMR, with narcotic dispensing and medication scanning via Acu-dose.

Very fast-paced units require staff to be highly organized.

Training will include clinical instruction and classroom education for the charting system.
