About The Position
Job Title : Certified Operating Room Technician / Surgical Technician (CST) Job Specialty : Surgical Services Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (09 : 00 - 17 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2 years required License : New York license in hand Certifications : BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have : Availability for weekend coverage as needed- Call required- Compliance document submission by the specified deadline- Completion of required Stroke CEUs for specific roles (except those in OR)- Completion of CPI for ER at the facility if applicable Job Description : Provide assistance during surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment.- Set up surgical instruments and equipment.- Ensure all supplies and equipment are accounted for before and after surgery.
- Follow precise infection control procedures.- Participate in the orientation program scheduled once a month.- Adhere to strict compliance and credentialing processes, including passing required exams with specified minimum scores.
- Comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements, with a medical exemption as the only exception.- Work in a smoke-free facility.
- Adhere to the non-negotiable shift schedule.
