The Manager of Network Operations is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure.

This role ensures the network operates efficiently, securely, and reliably, meeting the needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of networking technologies and best practices. Leadership and Management :

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the network operations team, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and network reliability. Network Design and Implementation :
  • Oversee the design and implementation of network solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Ensure network infrastructure is scalable, resilient, and secure.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their networking needs and integrate solutions. Operational Oversight :
  • Monitor network performance and ensure network uptime meets or exceeds SLAs.
  • Manage and resolve network incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Security Management :
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor network security and respond to incidents and breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Strategic Planning :
  • Develop long-term plans for network infrastructure, aligning with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance network performance and reliability.
  • Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and trends. Vendor Management :
  • Manage relationships with network hardware, software, and service providers.
  • Evaluate and select vendors and products that meet the organization’s needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with vendors. Budget and Resource Management :
  • Develop and manage the network operations budget.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and manage costs effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Reporting and Analysis :
  • Generate and analyze reports on network performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.   • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in network operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of network design, implementation, and management.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in network security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Ability to manage budgets and optimize resource use. Preferred Qualifications :
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud networking and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
