• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric emergency department
• Solid crisis prevention management skills
• Proactive symptom assessment and management skills

Description :

The Psychiatric Evaluation Services unit is designed for acutely ill patients with psychiatric and substance use disorders.

Patients are awaiting placement for stabilization at an appropriate treatment facility.

Nurses require at least one year of experience in a psychiatric emergency department.

Effective crisis prevention management and proactive symptom assessment and management skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required.
