About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Processing Tech

Profession : Surgical Services

Specialty : Sterile Processing

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night 4x10-Hour

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in sterile processing and 1 year in specialty

License : Must have licensure in hand at time of submission

Certifications : CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification required

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• 2 references from a charge nurse or above at time of submission

Description :

CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification is required.

Experience in sterile processing is essential.

Knowledge of aseptic techniques is necessary.

Skills in the use of decontamination and sterilization equipment are relevant.

Familiarity with sterilization wrapping procedures and organizing surgical trays is important.

Experience with biological indicators and chemical agents for decontamination is preferred.

Ability to document equipment and maintain proper labeling and selection of wrapping materials is required.

Proficiency with ultrasonic cleaners and steam sterilization testing is essential.

Floating to various units may be required.

Compliance with medical and religious exemptions regarding COVID-19 and flu vaccine is necessary.

Availability to meet holiday and weekend scheduling requirements is essential.
