As the Senior Director of Partnerships at DIRECTV, you will lead a dynamic team dedicated to activating the DIRECTV brand through innovative strategies across a variety of live events and marketing initiatives.
You will set the strategic vision for partnership activations, collaborating with internal teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach that drives results.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Vision & Leadership : Establish and communicate the strategic direction for partnership activation, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and customer communication plans across various departments.
- Sponsorship & Partnership Development : Identify and drive large-scale sponsorship opportunities that enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- End-to-End Activation Programs : Lead the development of comprehensive activation programs in collaboration with business, brand, creative, social media, and experiential teams to achieve targeted objectives.
- Brand Investment Vision Evolution : Work with internal teams and external agencies to refine B2C and B2B strategies, balancing long-term business success with immediate goals.
- Programmer Content and Third-Party Partner Relationship Activation : Manage and activate relationships across various content and third-party partners to enhance brand presence.
- Earned Media : Collaborate with external communications teams to drive earned media. Increase awareness through third-party partnerships to drive incremental reach beyond DIRECTV consumer and media targets.
- Customer Acquisition Strategy : Drive initiatives aimed at increasing customer acquisition and reducing churn, leveraging DIRECTV's growth strategy.
- Market Plan Alignment : Define and ensure alignment with DIRECTV marketing teams for a comprehensive go-to-market strategy that leverages partnerships as an extension of their sales channel.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Marketing analytics and insights teams to analyze performance metrics, monitor partnership investments, and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Leadership & Development : Coach and mentor your team to deliver exceptional performance, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Budget Management : Oversee activations to ensure they remain within budget and align with strategic goals, maximizing the effectiveness of partnership investments.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting : Present updates on key partner activations to senior leadership, highlighting insights and recommendations to inform strategy and execution.
Inclusive of robust measurement plans to demonstrate the return on investment (ROI) of partnership initiatives, ensuring that goals are met and exceeded.
Qualifications :
- 7 10 years of proven experience in partnership management, marketing, or a related field, with a strong track record of driving successful activations.
- Exceptional leadership and team development skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in performance measurement and ROI analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and functions.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data.

This role requires approximately 25% - 50% domestic travel.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Low (N1) : $140,790 - $211,090
Mid (N2) : $148,200 - $222,200
High (N3) : $163,020 - $244,420
Top (N4) : $170,430 - $255,530
Please note that the salary ranges reflect base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits - when you consider all of these together, it represents a pretty impressive total compensation package.
