Part-Time Operations Manager
Since 2008, Siegel Long Public Affairs has provided effective lobbying, advocacy, and organizing services to nonprofits, labor unions, coalitions, ballot measures, and legal advocates across Colorado.
Our services include coalition building, campaign management and planning, lobbying and issue advocacy, and grassroots organizing.
Our firm has a proven track record of taking on big issues, building campaigns from the ground up, and winning on a wide range of issues including defending worker’s rights, protecting access to abortion, strengthening consumer protections, promoting conservation efforts, and protecting the right to vote.
We are looking for a part time Operations Manager to work directly with our team and clients to ensure well run internal operations supporting our firm in working on progressive policy, organizing, and movement building.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage client contracts and invoicing :
- Monthly invoicing and contractor payments, accounts receivables.
- Financial reporting projections and reconciliations
- Payroll, benefit and time off administration
- Ensure SLPA team compliance with financial and benefit processes as needed and support staff in navigating benefit enrollment and maintenance
- Manage accounts payable
- Interface with CPA, insurance and benefit administrators to provide information as needed
- Lobby, campaign and Secretary of State business reporting and compliance
Must haves
- Detailed knowledge and experience using quickbooks at the Pro-Advisor level
- Budgeting and financial forecasting skills and ability to translate financial information for decision making.
- Knowledge of G-suite.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and balance multiple competing priorities, meet ongoing deadline, and use time effectively
- Demonstrated commitment to anti-racism and economic justice
- Good judgment and confidentiality with sensitive information
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize and time management skills
- Leadership to take initiative and work well independently
Nice to haves
- Experience working with TRACER and Colorado SOS filing systems
- Experience services such as gusto and bill.com
- Experience using IRS and CO state filing systems
- Experience managing distribution lists

- This is a part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week with a target start date of August 1, 2024. This is based out of the Siegel Long Public Affairs office in Denver.
This is a hybrid role that requires some in-person work. SLPA will provide laptop and cell phone, and the pay rate for this position is $25-35 / hour DOE.
