About The Position
A hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located on the central coast of Maine.
The position features a day shift schedule from 0700 to 1600, with night shift home call from 1600 to 0700 and weekend 24-hour home call.
The call schedule includes night float for one week at a time, if interested. Coverage is needed starting January 3, 2024, until the permanent position is filled.
The documentation system used is Epic. A locum tenens physician is required to supervise CRNAs in a care team model, with solo on-call responsibilities.
Required procedures include adult and pediatric general surgical cases, minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, plexus anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, regional anesthesia, obstetrical cases, acute pain management procedures, and insertion of central and arterial lines.
