Purpose :

The Worley Community is looking to add a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team in delivering offshore engineering solutions and services in the Gulf of Mexico.

Our diverse portfolio of projects encompasses the whole cycle of offshore brownfield projects from planning / conceptual design, to detailed design, construction, and operation.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform structural engineering services that meet Worley', its customers' and applicable regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Perform structural engineering services as a lead with little guidance such as :

studies, analyses and provide recommend actions / solutions; review existing reports / available data.

Detail designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and report, develop solutions to install / remove equipment with no crane access;

perform structural analysis utilizing the SACS (analysis types include In place, loadout, transportation, installation) and develop local calculations to support the design.

Communicate effectively with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders.

Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures.

Ensure the project scope is clear and provide engineering estimates.

Support junior personnel and workshare team within the structural engineering team.

Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

  • Work with a team of designers to develop 3D model and drawings.
  • Ensure discipline technical work meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
  • Perform occasional site visits offshore.

What you will bring

Technical / Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements :

  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
  • A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the structural engineering, and industry standards.
  • Technical and practical experience in structural engineering in the offshore industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
  • Knowledgeable in API RP 2A, AISC, AWS
  • Working at the office 3 days a week minimum
  • 8+ years of experience with 3+ years in offshore platform design
  • Must be proficient in SACS
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to take and pass HUET Training
  • Possess or ability to obtain TWIC card.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills required

Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
  • Preferred :
  • PE License
  • PE License
