Position Summary : We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner with psychiatric and substance abuse experience to join our dynamic treatment team. This role involves delivering professional-level nursing care to adult clients with minimal supervision, while overseeing and guiding the clinical and administrative nursing staff on the unit. The ideal candidate will be experienced in psychiatric assessments and demonstrate leadership in a behavioral healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities : Provide psychiatric and medical assessments and ongoing treatment planning Direct and supervise nursing and MHT (Mental Health Technician) staff Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and systematic patient documentation Participate in clinical meetings, staff development, and scheduling Uphold patient safety, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance Respond effectively to emergencies and manage high-stress situations professionally Qualifications : Education : Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program Experience : Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience in a behavioral health setting Licensure / Certification : Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of MA Valid CPR certification Skills & Knowledge : Psychiatric nursing assessment and dual-diagnosis care Knowledge of nursing process and mental health standards Familiarity with Joint Commission, HIPAA, and workplace safety regulations Excellent verbal and written communication Team-oriented, organized, and resilient under pressure Work Environment : 80–90% of work is performed indoors in a temperature-controlled environment Possible exposure to airborne pathogens and moderate risk of workplace violence Frequent interaction with adult clients (ages 18), both male and female Physical Demands : Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, bending, walking Prolonged periods of sitting, reading, and computer use Protective Measures : Use of universal precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Why Join Us?
