Job Title : RN Emergency Room

Location : Hartford, CT 06105

Shift Details :

• Hours : 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Schedule : 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
• Total Weekly Hours : 36 hours

Salary :

• Local Pay Rate (within 60 miles) : $50.45 / hr.
• Non-Local Pay Rate : $57.66 / hr.
• Taxable Wage : $45.82 / hr.
• Per Diem : $11.83 / hr.
• Reward : $5.77 / hr.

Responsibilities :

• Provide urgent and critical care to patients in the emergency room setting.
• Perform rapid assessments, initiate treatment plans, and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and assist with emergent situations as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and safety regulations.
• Maintain competence through continuing education and professional development activities.

Requirements :

• Education : Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Licensure : Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Connecticut.
• Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Experience : Prior experience in emergency room or critical care nursing preferred.
• Skills :
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
• Physical Requirements : Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and move patients, and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
