Occupational Therapist - School Based
AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) that is available for the 2024 / 2025 school year.
Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- SC Occupational Therapy license or Certification required.
- 1+ years of relevant experience; experience in a school and / or pediatric setting(s) preferred.
- BLS / CPR Cert.
Job Description :
- Caseload and details of position / classroom type will differ based on school location
- Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset
- Contract through the 2024 / 2025 school year - 35 to 40 hours per week
- Contract follows the academic district calendar
Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties :
- Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
- Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
- Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
- Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Salary :
$48-$50 / hr taxable
