About The Position

Experience : 2 years of Progressive Care or Med / Tele experience required

License : Indiana or compact RN license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS required

Must-Have :

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Stepdown or Med / Tele setting
• BLS certification through AHA
• ACLS certification

Description :

The position involves general nursing duties and procedures in a progressive care setting.

Drip titration experience is preferred; if not experienced, the candidate may float to MedSurg / tele units.

The equipment utilized on the unit includes EPIC, PYXIS, Philips defibrillator, and Philips bedside monitors.

The nurse-to-patient ratio in the progressive care unit is 3-4 : 1.

If floated to MedSurg, the ratio will be maintained at 1 : 3.

The unit consists of 12 beds, providing care to critically ill patients.

And the nurse will be working as part of a team and will never be alone.

Three weekend shifts are required within a 4-week schedule.

Floating to other units is required as needed.

Travelers will complete a training program and receive 1-2 days of orientation on the unit.

Dress code requires Caribbean blue scrubs.
