Heirloom Market in Wethersfield, CT is looking for a pastry prep cook / line cook / prep cook to join our expanding team.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced self-starter, ambitious, organized, efficient and engaged. The position is part-time or full-time with lots of room for growth for the proper candidate.
Responsibilities Include :
- Assisting chefs with food preparation
- Cooking and plating food for customers in an open-kitchen
- Organizing food storage
- Storing, stocking and maintaining Mise en Place.
- Set-up and breakdown of line, including proper cleaning of station
- Maintaining prep lists
Qualifications
- 2 years experience with food preparation, line work, pastry experience a plus
- Must be punctual, organized, clean, and focused

About HEIRLOOM MARKET : Welcome to Heirloom Market at Comstock Ferre. We are a multifaceted food service business including a cafe that serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch six days a week as well as dinner and drinks 3 nights a week.
We are also a coffee shop, retail seed and natural / local grocery, and we have event spaces as well. We are located in the heart of Old Wethersfield, CT, which is becoming quite a destination for food and shopping.
The Market features local, organic, GMO free groceries and basic household items as well as gardening supplies and Baker Creeks heirloom seeds.
In the caf, locally roasted coffee and espresso drinks are served as well as freshly baked pastries and breads. Hand-crafted sandwiches, panini, soups, and salads are available at lunch and our dinner service and bar offerings 3 nights a weeks are ever expanding.
