• Work variable shifts including 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts with mainly 12-hour shifts
• Shift times vary : 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM, or 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
• Handle 10-15 cases per day
• Work with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients
• Weekend work required
• On-call duties required with own transportation necessary
• Floating required between two campuses
• Perform advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using echo, ultrasound, and Doppler equipment
• Conduct ultrasound examinations of cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels
• May perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression
• Record and maintain test data and prepare preliminary interpretations
• May perform routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB / GYN, and other vascular ultrasound procedures
• Assist physicians with biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization procedures
• Graduate of accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program required
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT required
• BLS certification required
