The Senior Program Manager, STARS will be responsible for creating and maintaining STARS project plans to track activities across STARS cross functional teams.
The incumbent will work in coordination with the corporate STARS team to develop a tactical roadmap and project timelines for bridging activities related to STARS initiatives and work within a matrix operations environment to implement and support program management oversight.
The incumbent is responsible for identifying risks and communicating to leadership proposed mitigation.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Leads the development of STARS project plans.
- Works within a matrix STARS team to identify business needs that will support performance improvement.
- Coordinates with cross-functional teams to identify dependencies.
- Develops project timelines for each initiative in coordination with the corporate STARS team.
- Establishes core materials on relevant topics to be presented to various stakeholders supporting STARS.
- Conducts regular scheduled meetings with various groups (e.g., IT, Analytics, Governance, Market Engagement)
- Tracks the regular review and analysis for ongoing CMS and National Committee for Quality Assurance policy changes to existing as well as new policy guidelines and / or rule changes.
- Participates in regularly scheduled STARS measures performance meetings with measure owners to ensure performance accountability and forward progress.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
- Experience in creating and developing project plans.
- Experience in participating in cross-functional teams and working within a matrix environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare quality measures and performance reporting preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA :
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Healthcare, Business, Management) or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, healthcare operations, or related field required.
