North Star Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a talented and dynamic Clinical Director of Adolescent Residential Programs (LCSW) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals!
North Star Behavioral Health Hospital is the premier behavioral health provider serving Alaska. The Debarr Campus is a trauma-focused intensive therapeutic, educational, psychiatric, recreational, and nursing treatment program with an emphasis on instilling hope and building futures.
The North Star Residential Palmer Campus provides psychiatric residential treatment for preteen and teen boys ages 11 to 18.
Key Responsibilities :
- Direct, coordinate, and oversee the day-to-day operation of the residential programs.
- Ensures that appropriate care is delivered to patients; sets the tone for the program that reflects the organization’s values and adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Serves as the designated reporter for regulatory agencies.
- Ensures appropriate clinical supervision for direct care staff.
- Communicates with referral sources and family members in clients’ interest, complying with all confidentiality and client rights standards and policies.
- Oversees the facility’s client rights program and assures clients receive prompt response to complaints / concerns; offers options for resolution and ensures appropriate follow up.
- Oversees, implements and monitors treatment planning; identifies mechanisms for enhancing multi-disciplinary involvement and cooperation.
- Facilitates the creation and delivery of clinical programming; conducts outcome studies to determine effectiveness of programming.
- Designs and maintains program schedules, patient handbooks and other programming materials; ensures all patients and staff have access to and are trained to use these resources effectively.
- Actively serves as a key member of the organization’s core management team, ensuring effective integration of clinical services into overall organization operations.
- Stays abreast on current / changing mental health law and its application to the organization’s programs.
EDUCATION : Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a mental health or psychiatric setting required.
LICENSURE : Licensure by the State of Alaska (LCSW).
