Summer Internships : Monday, May 19,2025 ( 40 / hours per week max)

TheMachine Learning Engineering Intern acts as part of a collaborativeteam within the Data Management and Analytics organization.

Theteam’s primary role is to support the development, deployment, andmonitoring of machine learning models developed by Workiva’s datascientists.

What You'llDo

Participatesin discovery, requirements gathering, and prototyping of new toolsand libraries

Implementstooling and features to support machine learning model developmentand deployment under the direction of a full-time Machine LearningEngineer

Participates incode reviews

Implements andupdates tests (unit, integration)

Tracks tasks and completesstatus updates using internal tools

Works in an Agiledevelopment methodology alongside their teammates

What You'llNeed

Minimum Qualifications

Currently pursuing abachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, math, computer science,physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent certifications(required)

Solidprogramming skills

Abilityto work within a geographically distributed team

Basic experience withsource control systems such as Git

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication andorganizational skills

Familiarity with the datascience lifecycle and basic machine learning concepts

Experience withcontainerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

Knowledge of cloudplatforms such as AWS

Proficiency with Pythonand / or Go

Familiarity withREST APIs

TravelRequirements & WorkingConditions

Reliableinternet access for any period of time working remotely, not in aWorkiva office

Must beauthorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorshipnow or in the future
