- Coordinating preventative and predictive maintenance with maintenance technical group and production planning.
- Supporting daily / weekly / monthly PM assignments, conducting follow-up, and monitoring PM schedules.
- Conducting daily communication meetings with maintenance personnel.
- Assisting with repair, modification, and installation activities alongside other maintenance personnel.
- Participating in manpower requirements planning, overtime scheduling, and assisting with capacity planning to meet future objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Monitoring scoreboards to identify issues and providing assistance and support to production team members.
- Sharing KPI results with employees to encourage continuous improvement.
- Planning and directing the utilization of equipment and manpower to achieve effective results.
- Assisting in the development of procedures and methods to improve Safety, Quality, Timing, Cost, and Motivation.
- Assuming the role of Maintenance / Facilities Manager in their absence.
- Managing Maintenance Reliability Program and using data to determine proactive courses of action.
- Ordering materials required for repair, modification, installation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Participating in quotations and follow-up related to new projects.
- Dealing with quality issues or concerns within their area of responsibility through root cause analysis.
- Participating in the design and / or redesign of new or used equipment.
- Following the breakdown escalation process and participating in the development of CBAM’s goals and objectives.
- Supporting the preparation of the budget planning process and meeting financial targets.
- Making decisions in the best interest of the department, CBAM, Cosma, and Magna.
- Communicating department progress / results on regular operations and achieving CBAM’s goals.
- Ensuring proper documentation of processes, equipment, systems, and employee relations issues.
- Conducting regular department meetings to communicate safety, quality, timing, cost, and motivation information.
- Completing payroll activities for employees and ensuring employees are trained or certified as required.
- Observing, understanding, teaching, coaching, and mentoring direct reports for knowledge enhancement, skills, and succession planning.
- Building and fostering high-performing teams by ensuring teamwork within the department.
- Ensuring all non-conformances to company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are addressed with appropriate corrective action.
- Cooperating with Environmental Health & Safety Manager to return employees to work under the Return-to-Work program and ensuring leaders within their area of responsibility monitor employees.
- Ensuring suppliers perform work safely within operations work areas / zones when applicable.
- Complying with relevant Quality and Environmental programs (e.g., ISO / IATF, ISO).
- Complying with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Maintaining professionalism, developing and maintaining peer relationships, and keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Performing other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements :
Completion of a college or university degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field; or Certification of Qualification for Electrical / Millwright / Tool & Die;
or equivalent work-related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in automotive manufacturing operations with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Highly knowledgeable in Robotics (Fanuc), PLC (Allen Bradley), and electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and machining processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing operation systems (ERP, MES, Preventive Maintenance, etc.).
- Strong math skills with the ability to analyze data and apply to costs.
- Attention to detail and exceptional planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a variable workload (flexible hours).
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
