Minimum 2 years of experience is required.

AHA certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIH.

ED Proper Unit - Critical Care - Trauma, Stroke, Cardiac, General Medicine.

Does NOT accept local candidates within 50 miles!

Floating is expected.

Expected to work every other weekend.

Expected to work every other holiday.

Pay :

$76.92 / hour -$46 / hour pay + 30.92 / hour stipends

Overview

We are seeking an Emergency Department Registrar to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient registration of patients in the emergency department, contributing to the smooth operation of the healthcare facility.

Duties

• Register patients accurately and efficiently in the emergency department setting
• Verify patient demographic information and insurance details
• Obtain necessary signatures and consent forms from patients or their representatives
• Coordinate patient flow by communicating effectively with clinical staff
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the emergency department operations

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office or emergency department setting is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, including IV infusion and infection control practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for this role
