Friday-Sunday : 8 : 00 AM - 8 : 30 PM (3 twelve-hour shifts, no on-call responsibilities required).

Job Description

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director and / or Section Head, the Clinical Specialist, the Manager, and the Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The technologist creates diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort through the CT scanning process. They also play a key role in supporting teaching and staying updated with advancing technology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform trauma and emergency room CT scanning.
  • Conduct CT exams on outpatients and inpatients, including those in intensive care.
  • Engage in specialized CT scan-guided procedures.
  • Practice and enforce radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and high school graduate.
  • New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit to practice.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR / AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
  • Entry-level position; limited or no experience accepted.
