Test Engineer - Junior

Stratum Networks is a rapidly growing information assurance and cybersecurity solutions company that provides high-end network and security consulting to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients.

We are looking for a talented and passionate candidate who would support one of our clients located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS / SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.

Test Engineer - Junior

Reviews, analyzes, updates, and / or provides feedback on requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation including service build instructions, etc.

documented in GitLab and wikis.

• Possesses effective verbal and writing skills for communicating test results clearly, and objectively.
• Self-starter that can work well independently as well as in a team environment.
• Develops and maintains the test plan and associated test procedures for over 20+ web based user facing services.
• Tests complex applications exercising tenacity and patience while working collaboratively with development staff to find answers to issues and / or clarify requirements in order to achieve successful deployment of quality applications.
• Performs manual testing, and builds on or acquires knowledge of automated test tools for software applications testing.
• Evaluates services for compliance to the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508 using tools such as Job Access With Speech (JAWS), NoCoffee, Site Improve, AXE, and WAVE.
• Interacts with developers in person, via GitLab issues, and / or email so as to maximize efficiency while minimizing interruption of the developer’s ongoing work.
• Uses JMeter or other tools for applications load testing.

Required Education :

Associate's Degree and 5 years experience. Equivalent Education and Experience : High School / GED - Minimum 9 years experience or Bachelor's Degree and 2 years experience
