Machine Operator - 2nd Shift - O'Neal Manufacturing Services

Position Summary

The Machine Operator may operate a variety of machines in the shop, with a primary focus on set-up and operation of a CNC Press Brake.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Commitment to workplace safety.
• Set-up and operate machines including adjustment and / or replacement of expendable tooling, guides, jigs and fixtures.
• Operate a CNC Press Brake.
• Support the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Shift

2nd Shift - Voluntary overtime opportunity on Fridays when applicable. Receive an additional $2.00 / hr shift premium for all second shift hours worked.

Monday - 4 : 00 PM to 2 : 30 AMTuesday - 4 : 00 PM to 2 : 30 AMWednesday - 4 : 00 PM to 2 : 30 AMThursday - 4 : 00 PM to 2 : 30 AMFriday - As Needed (Voluntary OT)

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability or interest in learning to operate CNC Press Brake.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints preferred.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, and bander.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
• Provide high-quality work to all internal and external customers related to their position output.
• Capable of setting up and operating one or more processing machines.
• Speak, write, and comprehend conversational English.
• Strong attention to detail.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively throughout the course of a shift.
• Ability to bend, stand, twist, and stoop for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.
• Have good vision of 20 / 30 with corrective lenses. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
