Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and optimizing enterprise IT systems, with specific expertise in Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V, VMware, and Active Directory.

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems to ensure high levels of availability and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Design and Implementation
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Azure, Hyper-V, and VMware technologies.
  • Develop and implement strategies for system architecture, integration, and configuration.
  • System Maintenance and Support
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, availability, and security.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
  • Active Directory Management
  • Manage and administer Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and organizational units.
  • Ensure secure and efficient access control and authentication mechanisms.
  • Virtualization
  • Implement and manage virtual environments using Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Optimize resource allocation and utilization across virtualized environments.
  • Cloud Management
  • Oversee cloud-based resources and services in Azure.
  • Implement best practices for cloud security, cost management, and performance optimization.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented systems and processes.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, health, and security.
  • Collaboration and Support
  • Work closely with other IT team members, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration and operation.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related role.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V, and VMware.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, including design, implementation, and management.
  • Experience with networking, including DNS, DHCP, TCP / IP, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell).
