Sr Occupational Therapist FT
Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY :
As a Senior Occupational Therapist (OTR) / Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), you will play a vital role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with lymphedema and related conditions.
Utilizing specialized techniques and comprehensive care plans, you will significantly improve the quality of life for patients with lymphatic disorders.
This role demands a high level of expertise, compassion, and dedication to patient care, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development and program improvement.
Some travel may be required in the provision of services between facilities and job functions. This position summary contains the most relevant duties, responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Required to travel as needed between sister facility.
2. Membership in professional organization preferred.
3. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
EDUCATION / LICENSURE :
1. Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy required, Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy Preferred.
2. Current Licensure in the State of Texas as Occupational Therapist required.
3. 10+ years experience as an OTR preferred.
4. Must have and maintain current BLCS certification, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider's Program.
5. Specialized training and certification in lymphatic therapy, such as Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) certification, CLT- LANA, or CLT with 5+ years experience preferred.
6. Experience in the administration and fitting of compression garments for chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) and lymphedema preferred.
