What You’ll Do :

Community Engagement : Cultivate a welcoming and active online community by moderating discussions, responding to user comments, and encouraging interaction among members across both our in-app and our social media platforms.

Your goal is to create a space where readers feel safe, valued and engaged.

Content Creation and Management : Develop and execute a content strategy that includes writing wall posts, newsletters and social media content that resonate with our community's interests.

You'll also curate and schedule multimedia content (videos, live Q&As, book reviews) that highlights trends, new releases, and community favorites.

  • Event Coordination : Organize virtual and potentially in-person events such as author interviews, book club meetings, and reading challenges to keep the community engaged and connected with our stories and with our authors.
  • Buzz building : Develop and execute strategies that build anticipation and spark conversations around our upcoming stories.

You'll collaborate closely with our content and marketing teams, and with our authors, to make new publications on Galatea feel buzzworthy and exciting for our community.

Analytics and Strategy : Monitor engagement metrics and community feedback to understand what excites and motivates our users.

Use these insights to refine community strategies and initiatives, ensuring continuous growth and engagement.

Author Collaboration : Work closely with authors to forge close links between them and their fans in our community, and to make our authors champions of our community to the wider world.

Help develop a sense of unique and exclusive connection between our authors and our subscribers.

Product Innovation : Liaise with the product team to relay community feedback and champion reader perspective, to help shape future app features and improvements.

What You'll Bring :

  • 3+ years of experience with social media and community management.
  • A book lover at heart, with a deep understanding of the literary world and its trends.
  • Experience with being creative, strategic, and analytical when crafting compelling content and measuring its impact.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and cultural sensitivity to connect with our diverse audience and to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 $85,000 USD. Compensation will be determined by skill level, proficiencies, and experience.
