We are currently hiring a Part-Time Infection Control Nurse at Fremont Hospital to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for coordinating the activities of the facility's infection control program by assuming direct responsibility for infection surveillance, infection control reporting, and provision of infection control technical support and education for the facility staff.

Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 148-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing quality care for children through adults.
The facility provides a full assortment of care which includes assessments, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment as well as chemical dependency outpatient care.
Commuting to Fremont Hospital is easy! It is conveniently located near public transportation options such as AC Transit, BART, and the ACE Train.
Qualifications
Education :
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required (RN / LPN); Bachelors Degree preferred.
- CME units in infection control also preferred.
Experience :
A minimum of 3 years experience as a RN / LPN in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
Licensure :
Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Additional Requirements :
- Thorough knowledge of TJC, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of a professionally recognized management assaultive behavior course, such as "CPI" Training, within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures.
- May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
