Responsibilities will include designing RFICs, laminates, acoustic BAW and SAW filters, testing and characterizing prototypes in the lab, presenting design results, and participating in design reviews.
This role plays a critical role in our high-performance RF teams.
Responsibilities
Manage and take ownership of an RF front-end module and continuously improve its performance.
- Possess a clear understanding of customer design specifications and be able to translate full module requirements to subsystem design targets.
- Apply Microwave Engineering and RFIC design fundamentals to steer PA, LNA, filter, and laminate design tapeouts.
- Develop high-accuracy simulation benches using design tools such as ADS, HFSS, or Cadence.
- Adapt the best MCM (Multi-chip Module) design and full module Co-simulation practices.
- Design integrated passive devices and RF filters.
- Lab tuning, data review and analysis.
- Work with Product Engineering team to review automated testing result reports and limits.
- Provide detailed technical reports.
- Design high-isolation laminate layouts to meet high density component module and able to meet stringent requirements such as de-sense and harmonics.
- Participate in and conduct design review meetings.
- Perform lab testing and tuning and using various RF test equipment.
- The circuit blocks involved in a typical product development may include :
Power amplifiers, integrated passive devices, SAW / BAW duplexers and high-Q RF filters, switches, low noise amplifiers, controller, matching circuits, and high-directivity couplers.
