Overview :

The associate product manager on the card products team is a key support role and is the functional subject matter expert on how their assigned credit card product(s) and features work.

They need to thoroughly understand the product and market to help drive the product direction, messaging and functionality.

They work with various teams within the business to monitor consumer and customer service feedback so that product and features can be enhanced.

They will help drive the product strategy in day-to-day execution and serve as the bridge between the consumer and development.

This is an exempt position. The hours of the position are Monday-Friday from 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm with additional hours as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform testing, prepare requirements, provide clarification on requirements, advise development and testing teams, and conduct post-release analysis and validation for new and existing products and features.
  • Internalize the product strategy to drive day to day execution in creation of user stories, serving as a bridge between the user need and the development team.
  • Utilize systems to help identify and track backlogged features and functionality.
  • Analyze data and cardholder feedback to find opportunities, propose projects, and contribute to product roadmap development.
  • Coordinate compliance approval and bank audits for terms and conditions, product functionality and product constructs. Attention to detail is key, since they will be responsible for ensuring documents are accurate and updates are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Manage inventories and process orders and review forecasts to ensure adequate supply.
  • Gather market intelligence, with respect to consumer credit card products, value propositions, pricing, rewards programs, market trends, new products and payment advancements.

Maintain industry analysis and develop reports for circulation within the company.

Primary Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred and / or 1-3 years equivalent work experience

Experience with product, marketing or consumer communication in the financial services industry

Attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Maintain acceptable attendance standards

Strong interpersonal and professional relationship-building skills

Strong organizational, planning and time management skills

Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Must have analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports

Proven ability to adapt and modify as needed to meet departmental deliverables

Strong working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements

The work is of an intellectual nature. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is required to stand and sit for prolonged periods.

Specific vision abilities required include close and medium distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal sounds, distinguish sound as voice and communicate through human speech.

This position requires the ability to operate a keyboard, computer mouse, telephone, fax, copier, writing tools, and other standard office equipment.

On an occasion, an employee will be asked to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
