C2 client, a global spiritual nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the integrity and propagating the Buddhadharma (the universal truth common to all individuals at all times) in the Tibetan Gelup tradition.

They strive to inspire, educate, and empower individuals on their spiritual journeys through a variety of digital platforms and events.

They seek a talented and passionate UX Developer to partner on web projects with the team to enhance the organization's online presence.

The project lead is a longtime C2 client and a lifelong artist, photographer and designer. She will act as the creative lead for the project, relying on the UX developer to bring her vision to fruition and help maintain the site with updates and the more technical aspects of conveying the organization's message via the web site.

Compensation : $33-$37 / hour as a W2 employee of C2

Job Description

C2's client needs a creative and technically proficient UX Developer with expertise in WordPress, Jotform, and HTML / CSS.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining website content, assisting with graphic and image updates, and utilizing programming skills to improve page layouts and form building.

This role requires a strong understanding of user experience principles, a keen eye for design, and the ability to implement technical solutions to enhance digital offerings.

Key Responsibilities :

Website Maintenance and Content Updates :

• Regularly update and manage website content using WordPress.
• Ensure the website is up-to-date, functional, accessible and visually appealing.
• Perform routine checks for broken links, outdated content, and other website issues.

Design and Graphics :

• Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create engaging graphics and visual elements.
• Update and maintain website images and other multimedia content.
• Provide creative input to enhance the overall user experience.

Programming and Layouts :

• Utilize HTML / CSS to customize and improve website layouts and functionality.
• Develop and implement new page designs as needed.
• Ensure website design is responsive and optimized for various devices.

Form Building and Jotform Integration :

• Create and manage online forms using Jotform.
• Integrate Jotform solutions seamlessly into the website.
• Ensure forms are user-friendly, functional, and align with the organization’s needs.

Qualifications :

• Strong understanding of UX / UI principles.
• Experiencing building dynamic, mobile first experiences that translate well to any screen.
• Prioritizes accessibility.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Ability to translate design concepts into functional web pages.
• Proficient in WordPress, including themes, plugins, and content management.
• Strong knowledge of HTML / CSS.
• Experience with Jotform or similar form-building tools.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and PHP is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices is a plus.

Education and Experience :

At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a non-profit or spiritual organization.
