THE POSITION

We are seeking a Vice President of Product Management to lead our Data Product team within the FanDuel Data organization.

This is a key role in a fast-paced environment working with teams and stakeholders across the business to define our next generation of data products.

This role will be responsible for leading and expanding FanDuels data-driven product initiatives. It requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in data product management and leadership in large and complicated environments.

This position will work closely with cross-functional teams across business units and frontend technology counterparts as well as other data functions like Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Governance and Analytics to ensure that data products align with business goals and deliver significant value to the Business.

This role plays a key part in ensuring FanDuel meets its reporting and data obligations in a highly regulated environment.

THE GAME PLAN

Leadership & Team Development : Lead and mentor the Data Products team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Provide guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality data products that meet stakeholder needs.

Data Product Management : Develop and execute a comprehensive data product strategy that aligns with the companys business objectives and vision.

Identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and guide the development of new products and features.

  • Executive Collaboration : Collaborate with senior executives to define success metrics for data products, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving measurable impact.
  • Innovation : Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge. Drive innovation within the data products team by encouraging the adoption of new tools, methodologies, and practices that enhance product effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.

Ensure that data products deliver value and meet the evolving demands of the business.

Communication & Advocacy : Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and confident in data product decisions.

Advocate for the use of data and analytics in decision-making processes throughout the company.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with engineering, data governance, data science and other teams to ensure seamless integration of data products across FanDuels ecosystem.

THE STATS

  • Masters degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in data product management
  • 10+ years of team management
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling data product teams in large, fast-paced technology driven environment direct to consumer experience preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing large teams and complex projects
  • High familiarity with data platforms and BI tools
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically, with a strong sense of ownership and drive

The applicable salary range for this position is $216,000 - $270,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand.

This role may offer the following benefits : medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance;

a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.

This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
