Assistant Professor - CRT Epidemiology (Multi-omics)

The Sun Lab at the Rollins School of Public Health is seeking a CRT-track Assistant Professor who will collaborate in cutting-edge research programs in multi-omics studies of non-communicable diseases and chronic infections.

The successful candidate will have research experience in conducting genomic, epigenomic, metabolomic, or proteomic analyses of complex diseases (.

cardiometabolic diseases and chronic infections) with documented scientific achievements (., publications). This person will be able to design and conduct multi-omics studies of human diseases in large diverse populations while receiving advanced training to enhance professional skills and research independence.

The candidate will develop new ideas that promote current research, and will be required to prepare and publish scientific manuscripts with guidance from the Principal Investigator.

The candidate will pursue external sponsored research opportunities to grow their own research portfolio and transition into more established and independent roles.

Required Qualifications :

  • Proficient with high-performance computing environments or cloud computing, with a proven track record of successful application.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication abilities are essential.
  • A doctoral degree or equivalent (., ScD., DrPH, ., ., DDS etc) in Epidemiology, Biostatistics / Statistics, Bioinformatics, Genomics, or other relevant disciplines.
