Professional CCG Paramedics are utilized within Susquehanna Regional EMS for emergency response to the community and critical care / ALS interfacility transports within healthcare.
This unique opportunity for an expanded scope of practice supports Susquehanna Regional EMS in close collaboration with paramedic supervision (Platoon Chiefs) and SREMS administration (Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chiefs).
You will work rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and holidays based on the schedule.

Qualified Full-Time Paramedics are eligible for a $7, sign-on bonus ! A two-year work commitment is required.
The Critical Care Ground (CCG) Paramedic will work as part of the critical care ground team. The CCG Paramedic will follow PA DOH BLS, ALS, and CCG guidelines;
and is responsible for the care of critically ill and injured patients.
Responsibilities :
- Incorporates patient care assessment, stabilization, and intervention techniques consistent with standards and protocols approved by the Medical Director.
- Executes independent judgment, to deliver appropriate care that is consistent with the clinical protocols when contact with a medical command physician is not possible.
- Ensures patient and family confidentiality and dignity at all times.
- Demonstrates competency related to pharmacological interventions.
- Ensures the safety of patients and all others. Utilizes appropriate safety channels to report safety concerns, and uses tools available to enhance a safe work environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to establish a rapport with customers; including the ability to create and sustain a positive relationship;
regardless of circumstances, environment, or patient presentation.
- Selects and uses personal protective equipment appropriate to the level of the anticipated hazard.
- Documents appropriate assessment, interventions, and other pertinent patient information promptly. Collects and promptly processes demographic, medical necessity, and other necessary billing information.
- Demonstrates skills, competencies, and judgment necessary to provide patient care in any environment; using educational resources that are required or made available.
- Provide advanced life support to critically ill or injured patients in adherence to established protocols and standards of care;
assess online medical command or other resources when appropriate. Participates in developing and completing research projects.
- Ensures safe operation of patient-laden stretcher employing appropriate stretcher discipline at all times. Maintains safe loading, unloading, adjustment of the head of the stretcher, and stretcher movement.
- Performs daily equipment checks (vehicle, medications).
3 years of clinical experience in critical care and / or emergency department is required.
Must be eligible to receive medical command authorization from the Medical Director, have reliable transportation, and be willing to travel to any base site as assigned.
Must be able to complete the prescribed orientation program, including classroom, clinical rotations, educational competencies, and on-the-job training.
Must work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple / changing priorities, and specialized equipment
