Position Overview :
We are seeking a passionate and driven Director of Development to lead our fundraising initiatives. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proven track record in grant writing and donor relations, and marketing expertise to enhance our visibility and engagement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Fundraising Strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including grants, individual donations, and annual giving campaigns.
- Grant Writing : Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding from foundations and government sources.
- Donor Relations : Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, fostering a culture of philanthropy within the organization.
- Social Media & Marketing : Develop and execute a marketing plan that leverages social media and other channels to raise awareness and drive engagement.
- Reporting & Evaluation : Track fundraising progress and prepare reports for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the board and staff to align fundraising efforts with the organization’s mission and goals.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in nonprofit development, including grant writing and individual donor cultivation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong marketing skills, particularly in social media strategy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for supporting students with disabilities and a commitment to our mission.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Development is a must.
- Familiarity with fundraising software and donor management systems.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in education or disability services.
- Familiarity with fundraising software and donor management systems.
Salary Range :
$30,000 to $60,000, depending on experience and availability.
