Job Summary :
The Radiology Tech performs routine X-ray, medical, and testing procedures under the direct supervision of the treating clinician.
This position will also perform routine X-ray examinations per policies, practices, and procedures, and applicable regulations.
This role requires efficient and accurate delivery of one-on-one patient care while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Ensures that every patient is treated with quality clinical care and receives excellent patient experience from welcoming, respectful, and skillful colleagues.
Key Responsibilities :
- Completes diagnostic X-rays for patients within the scope of practice for limited-scope X-ray Operator certification.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to the specification of examination.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members.
- Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order.
- Keep patients informed of expected wait times during all aspects of the visit.
- Responsible for clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping.
