The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, implements ordelegates, plans, and evaluates total nursing care and functions inaccordance with established philosophy, providing and directingpatient care for a group of patients.
The Registered Nurse (RN)relates effectively with other shifts / departments for optimalcontinuity of care. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinicalsupervision for entry level nurses and assists in theirdevelopment.
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital SanMarcos, which originated in 1923 as Hays County Soldiers, Sailorsand Marines Memorial Hospital, opened at its current Wonder WorldDrive location in 1983.

Requirements :
- Associate's Degree inNursing
- One year experience in nursingpreferred.
- Current Texas State RN License orCompact RN License
- BLS (American HeartAssociation)
- ACLS required at time of hire forexperienced RNs. New graduate nurses must obtain ACLS by the end ofthe clinical orientation period.
- PALS requiredat time of hire for experienced RNs. New graduate nurses mustobtain PALS by the end of the clinical orientationperiod.
- Crisis intervention training requiredwithin 12 months of hire / transfer date
- Fortrauma designated facilities, TNCC required within 6 weeks of hirefor experienced RNs. New graduate nurses must obtain TNCC within 18months of hire / transfer date.
