The Electrical Estimator (Broadview, Illinois) will develop and utilize takeoff in pricing materials and labor in order to provide accurate job bids for projects throughout the company.
The Electrical Estimator will also follow up on bid projects and provide interaction with clients, as appropriate.
Electrical Estimator Responsibilities
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine the scope of work and project requirements.
Prepare detailed estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project costs using established procedures and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, McCormick / Accubid.
Work collaboratively with vendors, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and refine project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Participate in bid presentations and negotiate with clients to secure contracts for electrical construction projects.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients by serving as their primary point of contact and building trust through regular communication and follow-up.
- Manage client expectations by setting clear timelines, deliverables, and communication protocols.
Electrical Estimator Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial estimating experience.
- Proven ability of successfully obtaining profitable projects for the company.
- Proficient in estimating programs (Accubid, McCormick, Microsoft Office suite, etc.)
- Design / Build experience preferred.
- Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
