Summary of Job Duties :

The Department of Supply Chain Management in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas seeks applications from interested candidates to fill a Full-time Instructor position.

This is a teaching- and service-focused (non-tenure track) position that offers an opportunity to teach face-to-face courses.

We seek candidates with diverse skills and abilities who want to play a meaningful role in the life of Walton College and the Supply Chain Management field.

The typical teaching load for the teaching professor position is four-course teaching each semester (12 credit hours per semester).

Regular on-campus availability and in-person teaching are essential functions and required for faculty members in Sam M. Walton College of Business.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

Master’s degree from an AACSB (or equivalent) accredited university conferred by the start of employment

Must be, or willing to work toward being, classified as Practice Academic or Instructional Practitioner under AACSB guidelines this could include engagement in professional practice through practice-based teaching, outreach, consulting, or other activities consistent with AACSB standards

Significant supply chain management industry experience

Some previous teaching, instruction, and / or training experience is needed

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience teaching courses in the areas of supply chain planning, sourcing, operations, and logistics

Demonstrated ability to innovate and create engaging and relevant learning experiences

Documented excellence in teaching
