RN House Supervisor
PRN Varied Shifts
Coordinates and supervises the organization and administration of nursing services and all nursing units for designated shift.
The House Supervisor RN is responsible for efficient functioning of hospital personnel on the shift and will perform administrative and related duties in the absence of UMC Vice Presidents, Nursing Vice Presidents, and Patient Placement Center Leadership.
Coordinates and communicates patient flow efforts with PPC Coordinators and Regional Transfer Center. Evaluates patient care, staffing and recommends to Department Director and / or Nursing Administration changes necessary for improved patient care.
Integrates the patient’s total patient care with other departments; coordinates shift activities of other hospital departments in the absence of administrative personnel.
Has a working knowledge of organizational and nursing policies.
Education and Experience
- BSN Required
- 4 years of nursing practice
Valid Texas RN License / Eligible Compact License registered from Texas
State Board of Nursing
- BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Public Notary registration preferred
