Litigation Paralegal
Hanson Baker, a well-established Bellevue law firm, is looking to add a reliable litigation paralegal to our team. This is a full-time, hybrid position.
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with good organizational and communication skills. Candidate must have strong ethics and integrity.
We value collaboration, collegiality, and a focus on work-life balance. This position supports multiple attorneys, and the ideal candidate would preferably have experience in the areas of real estate purchases, sales, and disputes;
boundary disputes; quiet title actions; easement agreements and enforcement actions; construction drafting and litigation; and land use.
Responsibilities may include :
- Creating, maintaining, and updating databases with relevant discovery and case information;
- Assisting attorneys in drafting contracts, correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and answers, and declarations;
- Factual and legal research;
- Reviewing, organizing, and indexing documents produced, maintaining privilege logs;
- Reviewing and assembling documents to be used at depositions, mediations, arbitrations and trial;
- Preparing witness and expert witness lists;
- Reviewing pleadings and organizing appropriate exhibits;
- Preparing for and assisting with mediations, arbitrations and trials;
- Reasonable billing requirement; and
- Filing in state and federal court.

Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience;
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience as a litigation paralegal in WA state;
- Solid understanding of civil litigation (state and federal deadlines and rules);
- Proficiency in legal drafting and writing;
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines;
- High proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat;
- Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision;
- Experience with NetDocs and TABS3 a plus; and
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
