Structural Engineering Cold-Formed Project Manager - Primary Responsibilities :
- Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining project budgets. Manage and review structural engineering drawings for assigned projects / work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules and details.
- Review structural systems of primarily cold-formed steel framing for a variety of healthcare, commercial, retail, multi-family residential, industrial and institutional buildings nationwide and review Structural calculations for submittal.
- Manage Engineers and CAD / BIM Technicians to produce shop drawings, calculations and BIM models
- Assist with training and mentoring team members
- Communicate with clients and maintain project schedules and design budgets
- Help lead business development efforts for cold-formed projects to develop and manage a portfolio of clients
- Perform and lead the structural design of various building design projects. This includes development of structural design documents, calculations, and specifications.
- Perform construction administration duties.

Requirements :
Structural Engineering Cold-Formed Project Manager - Skills and Requirements :
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in structural design of cold-formed steel building structures. Some experience with oversight is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of cold-formed steel design and strong working knowledge of AISI standards.
- Have ability to develop innovative solutions for complex problems.
- Leadership mentality and ability to work well with others.
- Professional Engineer Licensure required. Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including CFS Designer & RISA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Applicable U.S. based work experience.
