What will you be doing in your role?
- Network with employers and build good relationships within the business community; provide education to employers about refugee client populations.
- Advocate and promote the values of hiring our clients.
- Conduct work culture orientations to our clients.
- Coach and prepare candidate for interview and entry into the American workforce.
- Provide concrete services resulting in job placement and retention.
- Be persuasive, energetic, and engaging to support our clients who are seeking employment.
- Promote and encourage self-sufficiency among our clients.
- Resourcefulness, a high sense of urgency and flexibility while representing our agency’s mission and values in the community.
- Effectively coordinate with professionals from different backgrounds, working at different levels.
- Consistently develop your knowledge about the job openings in all sectors and ability to access all sources providing information about job openings.
- Communicate with the case managers to ensure prompt and appropriate response to client needs relating to employment.
- Meet your commitments and effectively manage your administrative duties such as documenting services in client’s case records.
Are you the next Match Grant Job Developer?
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience in job development and business networking with a working knowledge of for-profit corporate cultures preferred.
- Familiarity with the refugee population and their needs.
- Proficiency in Spanish or other refugee language is preferred but not required.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver’s license, and evidence of auto liability insurance.
- Must be willing to drive a personal vehicle for job purposes.

- Full-Time hourly position. Pay is determined by relevant experience, work history, education and internal equities.
